GENERAL CARE INSTRUCTIONS FOR ALL SUPERIOR WOOD FURNITURE

For general care of furniture, simply clean the surface with a damp rag and then polish with a soft cloth on a regular monthly basis.

Avoid greasy waxes or cleaning fluids that leave a hazy film. Select a non-silicone based polish or wax and always polish in the same direction as the grain of the wood.

Avoid placing a hot dish or cup on the top and shelf surfaces.

Also, avoid placing glasses or cans of liquids (i.e. water glass, soft drink can) that may cause "sweating" directly on the surface.

Care must be followed to protect the tops and shelves. Use coasters or pads on these surfaces to avoid damaging the finish.

All hardwoods exchange moisture with the air, adjusting to temperature and humidity changes by expanding and contracting. Therefore, never place wood furniture directly over the air vents or registers in a room. Constant exposure to the heating and cooling may dry out the wood and damage joints.
